The Chainway R6 UHF RFID Sled Reader turns any standard Android or iOS smartphone into a fully featured mobile data capture terminal. The sled clips onto the phone, pairs over Bluetooth Low Energy and takes over the UHF RFID workload – while your existing smartphone app remains the user interface and processing layer. This approach plugs the R6 straight into existing ERP, WMS or asset management workflows without forcing your team onto a separate dedicated rugged terminal. Reading performance is built around the Impinj E710 chip with Impinj Gen2X support. Outdoors, the sled reaches up to 30 m with Impinj MR6 tags, 28 m with Impinj M750 tags and 31 m with Alien H3 Anti-Metal tags. RF output is adjustable in 1 dBm steps between +5 dBm and +30 dBm, which lets you tune the device for tight rack reads as cleanly as for bulk yard captures. With more than 1,300 tags per second, the R6 hits inventory speeds that match apparel cycle counting, fast-moving warehouse inbound and high-volume distribution centre operations.

Mechanically, Chainway uses a pistol-grip housing with a single trigger and three status LEDs (power, Bluetooth, work). The phone cradle accepts handsets between 68–80 mm wide and up to 22 mm thick. Power comes from a removable 5,200 mAh Li-ion battery rated for over 70 hours of standby and up to 2.5 hours of continuous UHF reading – swappable mid-shift to support multi-shift operation without docking time.
